What's Your Biggest Lunch Challenge?

Empty, but not forgotten

Since starting this blog, I've heard many different reasons for why it's so hard to bring a healthy lunch to work every day. So I'm curious - what makes it difficult for you? I want to bring you the most relevant recipes and tips, so please help a sister out and answer the question below!

What is your biggest challenge in bringing a healthy lunch?

  1. I find it most annoying carrying it to work. Bringing tuberware only to forget to bring it home. When I bring my lunch (rice, pasta, etc) in a ziplock, my coworkers make fun of me!

  2. I think my problem is figuring out how much I actually need to bring. Today I packed a salad and even though it had sweet potato and black beans, I'm already starving.

  3. Mainly my problem is variety. After a few days of eating the same kind of thing, I run out of ideas. Once that happens, fast food sure look appetizing!

  4. I've actually never thought of just bringing food in a plastic bag, but now that I think about it, it's kind of genius! Shame on your coworkers! :-P

    Liz, what about keeping a few snacks in a desk drawer? Something like almonds or oatmeal cookies, maybe? Although sometimes it's too easy to eat the whole box!
